Impressionist Photography
For each of the photos in this series I looked at the composition of each photo before deciding what could bring out a common theme in all of them. Each of the photos has a sense of nostalgia, They could have been taken in the past or present. I feel as though my photos are timeless.
I looked for different textures that I could overlay onto the photo in photoshop. I chose a different painted texture for each photo, these textures is what created a sense of depth to each of the photos. By selecting a different texture and sometimes multiple textures for each photo I was able to create the feeling of them being roughed up. Some look like old photos that had been crumpled up while others look like they have been damaged by water or have some sort of staining on them.
In the end if feel my goal of having an older feel throughout the series was accomplished. My favorite photo was the second one. This photo to my best expresses the emotion and theme I was trying to convey in the series. In my opinion they texture, the original photo, and the small edits I made blend together seamlessly, bringing out the feeling of the past.

Cyanotypes
Peter Voros
Peter Voros is a Slovakian photographer. He takes both city and landscape photos and turns them into cyanotypes. I like the light and dark values that occur in all of his photos. He uses lots of leading lines to guide your eye through the photo.
